About Our School

49th Street Elementary School, located on 49th Street between McKinley Avenue and Avalon Boulevard, has been in existence since 1913. It serves over 581 students, Pre K through 5th grades, with approximately 88% of these students being Latino and 9% African American. The staff are comprised of hard-working, dedicated individuals whose mission is to create college graduates and life-long learners.
