About Our School

49th Street Elementary School, located on 49th Street between McKinley Avenue and Avalon Boulevard, has been in existence for over 100 years. It serves over 900 students, Pre K through 5th grades, with approximately 93% of these students being Latino and 7% African American. The staff are comprised of hard-working, dedicated individuals whose mission is to create college graduates and life-long learners.
